Dear Saints,
Our patronal Feast is only one week away, and there is much to celebrate! Our Lady of Mount Carmel has been a loving mother, steadfast guide, and faithful friend. It is only fitting that our love for her would grow with each passing year.
The Feast is an occasion to make one small but public offering of the gratitude she so richly deserves. It’s also a great opportunity to invite our neighbors to learn more about her. As we process through the streets, there is a chance it will inspire onlookers to wonder why Our Lady matters so much to us, and to find out for themselves about her sweetness and succor. That alone is worth all the effort that goes into our communal celebration.
Of course like most celebrations, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is best when shared, so please join us! Our community is better for your participation, and we miss you when you’re not here. So, I very much hope to see you after the 11am Mass next Sunday, July 13th. It promises to be a procession and potluck for the ages!
Christ’s Peace,
Father Daniel
