Dear Saints,

Here we go! This Friday evening we’ll be honoring Our Lady of Mount Carmel with a candlelight procession through the streets of our beloved town. I hope you’re getting as excited as I am to share such a unique and special tribute to Mary with our neighbors.

Just as people around the world have long turned to her in times of darkness and need, our collective gathering will be a visible sign of hope, unity, and devotion within our own community. It’s the crowd and candles they’ll notice, but it will be our charity that makes the biggest impact. Through our love, we have the power to transform the streets of Boonton into a path of grace for others to travel.

May our witness draw our neighbors closer to our Mother. May our hearts leap at the prospect of sharing her with our neighbors. And may our lives leave no doubt that nothing can hold a candle to the beauty and joy of a life centered on her son.
