Dear Saints,

Making my way around OLMC these past few weeks, I get the sense that many of us are going through a period of significant transition. Whether it be graduating, moving homes, welcoming little ones, or saying difficult good-bye’s, these changes come with unique challenges and a mix of emotions ranging from excitement to grief. As with all things, we are called to invite Christ into these times of transition, casting our worries on him because he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Prayer is an indispensable life-source when it comes to navigating the hills and valleys of life. By his teaching and example, Jesus himself makes it possible for us to open our hearts to God in new and radical ways in every human situation.

These “in-between” moments of summer are providential for deepening our heart-to-heart with God. We can take advantage of the opportunity to reset, recommit, renew, or simply ask him how he wants us to pray. Openness and perseverance are key.

Of course, prayer is not possible without the encouragement of our friends. Let’s be sure to keep praying for each other!
