This Sunday, the Church enters the Season of Advent. If we use these few short weeks wisely, we will find the time and space we need to prepare for Christ’s coming at Christmas.

It's right that the church year culminates in this feast, because Jesus' kingship undergirds every aspect of Christian life and worship.

Thanks are in order for all of you: Your faithfulness and generosity to OLMC, your prayers and loving support of our mission and ministries, and your dedication to and enthusiasm for our parish school are bearing much fruit!

If we can entrust ourselves to Jesus and rise to meet the demands of love today, then we can figure the rest of it out as we go - we can figure out how to overcome tomorrow’s obstacles tomorrow.

What Saint Paul indicates by the use of the term “saint” are those who are members of a Christian community, forming the Body of Christ, and living totally for God’s plan and purposes.

It seems too simple to say that, but perhaps it’s something you need to hear. You, in whatever state, circumstance, or situation you find yourself in today, have a place here.

Ministering to one another, bringing God’s love to life for each other, is at the heart of what makes us a Christian community.

Trusting and following Jesus in all things and at all times, we become rich in what matters most (Love) and discover wealth that endures forever.

The Christian horizon for life is hopeful: We are broken in all manner of ways, but Christ wills our healing.

I’m pleased to say that, by most people’s measures, OLMC is leading the way towards a culture of Eucharistic coherence and Catholic affiliation.
